About Meleus & Mosman

Meleus & Mosman is an independent publication about property, architecture, markets and culture. Based in Sydney, it looks at how places are designed, what gives them value and what it costs to own and care for them. Australia is the primary market, with an international perspective where it helps explain a local decision.

The publication is edited by Justin Meleus, who publishes under a pseudonym. Justin is responsible for its editorial direction, published guidance and corrections. Meleus & Mosman is a developing publication with a focused remit and a named person accountable for its work.

That work begins with an interest in architecture and materials: how a plan changes the use of a room, how a finish ages and how a beautiful object fits the demands of a home. Purchase price is part of the picture. Maintenance, replacement parts, repair and the effort of ownership deserve attention too.

Selects brings that perspective to buying guides and material comparisons. Outdoor furniture is a current focus, including the questions raised by coastal exposure, uncovered patios, cushions and care. The guides use published sources to explain practical trade-offs and identify what a buyer still needs to establish before ordering.

Research-based guidance is identified as such. Product examples are distinguished from recommendations, and claims about performance or durability stay within the available evidence. The Editorial Methodology explains the sources, limitations and use of AI tools behind this work.
